Chelsea sweeps to victory in Baku

Chelsea scored four goals and secured their spot in the next round of 16 in the Champions League when they beat Qarabag FK in Azerbaijan.


Hazard scored from the penalty spot, Willian in his 200th game for Chelsea scored a brace and another penalty from Fabregas ensured the three points. Chelsea is now top of the group until the Roma and Atletico Madrid match which kicks off later tonight.


The match became easier for Chelsea after the Qarabag FK captain Rashad Sadygov was ruled to pull Willian in the penalty area. The referee pointed to the penalty spot and handed the captain a red card. After the Hazard goal, Chelsea was in complete control of the match.

Chelsea’s next match in the group will be against Atletico Madrid at the Bridge on December 5.
