Darryn and his family thanks all the supporters for assisting him in his time of need.
On Saturday, October 18, 2008, little Darryn Atkins was inducted into our Club as an Honorary Member. Darryn visited the club with his family and his soccer coach after we read what has happened to him in a local newspaper.
Darryn was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was in a coma. He recently woke up after sustaining head injuries and a broken left leg and injuries to his right arm. The family needs help in paying all the medical bills. He is an avert Chelsea FC supporter and his favourite player is Frank Lampard.
Chelsea Supporters Club South Africa (CSCSA) members rallied around him and brought along scarves, flags, duvet cover sets, books, caps and football jerseys. The club officially contributed a R1000 towards the Darryn Atkins Fund in 2008.
