Keep the Blue Flag Flying High

Are we ready to rumble in Munich?

Like thousands of you, we are looking forward to Saturday, 19 May 2012 when we face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Finals.

Its the holy grail for us, its what we grave most as supporters, players and management. Hell, it is what we want, what we demand and have to win now after we certainly will not be in the top four of the English Premier League for the first time after 8 years.

As you all know in football nothing is a fait accompli and we will have to play the same game against a resilient opponent as we so masterfully did against the defending champions Barcelona. No-one is again giving us a chance, no-one is thinking that we can pull it off. They do not know this team the way we do and have come to love. Hell, this is Chelsea FC, our team, our hero’s, our galant and courageous players. One team, one supporters, one management.

Yes, we face a Bayern team without several key players like Terry, Ivanovic, Mereiles and Ramires due to suspensions. We could also be without Cahill and David Luiz through injury, but the latest reports from Cobham suggests that the latter two should be ready do battle next week Saturday.

Our final game against Blackburn should be used as a training match to get some combinations going and to get players puttin gup their hand to play in the final.

We salute our hero’s for playing the last 17 games since Di Matteo took over in 53 days. It has been a monumental ask for them, we have lost only 3 games in this period and drawn 4 and winning 10 games in all competitions. What an achievement after our disastrous start to the season. Ha la la Di Matteo, our main man along with his back room staff. They deserve as much credit to the way we have clawed our way back into contention for fourth spot and appearing in two finals. One of these have already been won, the FA CUP. Another awaits us, the Champions League Cup.

Is it our year to win the Champions League? Time will tell. Where were you when we won this title - will some of us ask you over the next few years. We would definitely retort back saying we were right here watching and celebrating our victory, sweet victory.

Send us your photographs of your night out on Saturday, 19 May 2012, and tell us where you are watching the finals.

We have to believe our team will win this. We have endured that miserable evening in 2008 in Russia and we shall overcome this brilliant German team. We have to.

Keep the Faith.

Chelsea wins FA Cup Final

Drogba scored in his fourth final and Chelsea’s second to win it against a gutsy Liverpool. Ramires opened the scoring after 11 minutes and Drogba cooly finished it off just after half-time.

After Liverpool’s substitute Carrol scored in the 64th minute of the game - Liverpool put up a spirited fight to try and win the game. Petr Cech made some excellent saves.

Chelsea won 2 -1 on the day and with it 7 FA Cup titles, 1970, 1997, 2000, 2007, 2009, 2010. 2012.

FA Cup final today

With a few hours to go - we will soon know who is this year’s FA Cup winners. It is the first time Chelsea will face Liverpool in a FA Cup final.

Liverpool is a seven-times FA Cup winner and Chelsea a six-times winner. Chelsea has been in the last 4 finals in seven years and Didier Drogba is our lucky charm. Everytime we play at Wembley, he scores and we win. Drogba should start today’s game and hopefully Luiz and Cahill will start as well, if they have recovered from their injuries.

Its all to play for…watch this space.

Chelsea in sublime form at the moment

What an eight weeks of football at this club. Can we give it up to Roberto Di Matteo and his technical staff for bringing out the best in the team. 14 games, 11 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Impeccable, championship form and not least we are in two cup finals.

Take a bow Torres for scoring your first Chelsea hattrick and one after two and a half years for both club and country. If only we had you firing like this at the beginning of the season. Next up after we demolished QPR (6-1) is Newcastle one of two teams standing in our way of ending 4th or even 3rd. This game is up on Wednesday evening and then it is the FA Cup Final on Saturday, 5 May 2012.

Rotating players, altering team strategies and making everyone feel a part of this team is making us play good football again. Dare we dream it, can we win both finals and progress to 4th or even 3rd spot on the league - what are your thoughts on this. Let us know.
